At Animal Eye Associates, we get a ton of interesting questions from pet parents. Below are some FAQs that might help answer any inquiries or concerns. Please feel free to call us at (314) 966-2111 for any other concerns you might have about your pet.
How do I prepare for an appointment?
Ensure your primary veterinarian knows that your pet has an appointment at our office. Some primary veterinarians require permission from you, the owner, to forward your pet’s medical records to our office. Please request all medical records to be forwarded to our office at animaleyeassociatesstl@gmail.com. This transfer of records must be done prior to the day of your pet’s appointment so that we may review these documents. It is helpful to bring all medications that your pet is currently receiving. These steps ensure we are up-to-date on your pet’s current health and are able to best modify their treatments. On the day of the appointment, arrive at least 15 minutes earlier than your scheduled appointment.
What if I am not able to attend the appointment with my pet?
If you are unable to make it to your pet’s appointment, please cancel at least 48 business hours prior to your scheduled appointment.. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. In such cases, we can reschedule the appointment for a more convenient time. Additionally, if someone else is bringing in your pet on your behalf, please inform us in advance and provide their contact information. It’s crucial for us to have updated information to ensure the best care for your pet.
What is your cancellation policy?
To ensure proper staffing and provide the best care for our patients, we require a 48-business-hour notice for cancellations at our veterinary clinic.
How do I prepare my pet for surgery?
Preparing your pet for surgery involves a few key steps to ensure their well-being and a successful procedure. Here’s a guide to help you get ready:
Follow Pre-Surgery Instructions: Adhere to any specific pre-surgery instructions provided by your veterinarian. This may include fasting requirements, restrictions on water intake, or other guidelines.
What payment methods do you take?
We accept a variety of convenient payment methods to make your experience seamless. These include Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express, cash, checks, and CareCredit. There are no additional fees when using credit cards at our clinics.
Do you require my veterinarian to send a referral?
No, a referral from your veterinarian is not required to visit our clinic. While we work closely with your veterinarian and require records from their office, you can schedule your initial consultation directly by giving us a call.
What is your Late Policy?
To ensure the best care for all of our patients, we kindly ask that you arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. IF you arrive more than 10 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your visit. This policy helps us dedicate the necessary time to each patient while minimizing wait time for others.
